International female or non-binary protagonist for an art film

Are you able to keep a straight face while the ground farts in a dreamy, absurd voyage?
Are you keen on both sand and sea? Look no further!

6–7 September: one hour, at the beach around CPH.
October: 2 shooting days (dates TBA), at the sand dunes of Råbjerg Mile, Northern Jutland.

We are going for someone who is keen to explore dreams and absurdity, has a very casual manner in front of a camera, and is great at under-acting. Looking for a subtle, natural poker face while the inside is cracking up. We are looking for someone who wants to join us for a few days of serious fun with a small bunch of performers and artists. English speaker, with any accent.

The brief plot:

A woman in the dunes is trying to decipher odd radio signals while unravelling mysteries around her: a tune always cut short, the sound of a whale she never sees, a fart containing a prophecy, and someone named Octavia. Following a trail of shells through the desert, the mysteries are gradually revealed through the same familiar faces she keeps meeting. The prophecy hits as she dives into the sand and emerges into the sea, escaping the desert, guided by her familiar friends.

A short film involving straight-faced absurdist humour, archaeology of floating signals, a liminal desert, and familiar faces half-remembered.

The film is produced through my production company, Echoria. I’m a filmmaker and visual artist working between filmmaking and contemporary art, and this project lands in the hybrid space occupying both worlds.
I have a master’s degree in fine art, my films have won multiple awards across categories, and have been screened at festivals in Europe, Africa, North America, Asia and Oceania.
