AUDITIONS FOR WUNDERKAMMER'S NEW SHOW, PART OF METROPOLIS FESTIVAL 2011 BY KIT

Performance company Wunderkammer are looking for actors and physical performers/dancers for their new show 'No Known Cause'. The show will be a part of Metropolis Festival this coming August by Københavns Internationale Teater and performed on site at Ny Tap, Carlsberg.

Rehearsal period

During certain dates in July to be decided with successful candidates of the auditions. There will be an intensive rehearsal period from July 25th until August 17th. So you need to have availability during this period.

Performance dates are;18th,19th,20th and 24th,25th,26th,27th of August.

Audition workshops will take place on;

Saturday 25th June 11:00-14:00

Monday 27th June 18:00-20:00

at Wunderkammer's offices Ny Tap, Pasteursvej 48, 1778 Kbh V

You will work in a group for the first part of the workshop following which you will perform a pre-prepared short monologue or solo depending on your performance area. This will take place separately from the group workshop.

If you are interested in becoming involved please contact us to register for one of the audition workshops by e-mailing Luke Cooper on luke@thewunderkammer.dk or calling +45 50 59 93 76. (Cast by 30th June.)

Experience of devising would be a great advantage though not essential. Good spoken English language is essential for actors as the performance is in English. During the rehearsal process you will be working with co-directors Luke Cooper(UK) and Samuel Moore(AUS) and writer Mads Hansen(DK). We will have an initial script which will change during the devising period.

The show will combine performance (both acting and physical theatre) installation and video in an event where the audience are invited into the heart of the action. The performance will be both surreal and absurd creating an environment where we can bring into question the way we live our lives.

The performance deals with the existence of free-will and how our actions effect the world around us. For more information on Wunderkammer's previous work please see our web page www.thewunderkammer.dk

Unfortunately our funding does not extend to fees in this project. Though you will be platformed as part of Metropolis Festival by Københavns Internationale Teater. We will give some money towards expenses incurred and you will have the opportunity to contribute with your creative ideas to the final performance as part of our collaborative process.
